Ai-je faim? Non, je n’ai pas du tout faim parce que j’ai trop mangé. J’avais faim à six heures mais j’ai mangé trop de curry et du dessert.

Bonjour,

Not a big deal but there are many errors in the written version of this lesson that don’t match up the the speaker’s version:

First, in the beginning of Lesson Notes, it states that this lesson is about how many brothers and sisters you have (which was actually the last lesson). Then, the dialogue is out of order from what is written (‘starving’ is written after ‘not hungry at all’ but the speaker does the opposite). Lastly, the speaker uses ‘Non, j’ai pas du tout faim’ but the written transcript uses ‘Oui, j’ai pas du tout faim.’

Merci.

What is the difference between:

Est-ce que c'est un Cadillac and

Est-ce qu'un Cadillac

This was a sample sentence from the lesson materials

Hi Tom

The correct sentence is "Non, je n'ai pas du tout faim" -> this should start with "Non" since it is a negative sentence. And here "ne" becomes "n'" because the following letter is a vowel.

Remember that "ne" or "n'" should always be before the verb and "pas" after it!

Oops:

Expansion with audio

Oui, j'ai pas du tout faim ( where is the 'ne' ?)

PDF:

Non, je ne pas du tout faim. ( no verb ?)

Oui, j'ai pas du tout faim.

The focus of this lesson is how to say, "Do you have any brothers and sisters?" in French.
