Eric: In France, food is a very important part of the culture, and that's why some French expressions are about food.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Eric: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Yasmine: bouffer
Yasmine: compter pour du beurre
Yasmine: tomber dans les pommes
Yasmine: raconter des salades
Eric: Yasmine, what's our first expression?
Yasmine: bouffer
Eric: literally meaning "puff up." But when it's used as a slang expression it means "to eat, gobble up."
