1. Paris “Paris” |
Everyone knows Paris, I think. Paris, or Paris, is the most beautiful city in the world. |
Paris est la capitale de France. “Paris is the capital of France.” |
Je viens de là, "I am from there." |
2. Marseille “Marseille” |
Marseille is in the south of France near Italy and it’s a harbor city. |
Marseille est la deuxième plus grande ville de France. “Marseille is the second largest city in France.” |
It’s beautiful and really sunny. |
3. Lyon “Lyon” |
Lyon is near Switzerland and it’s well known for its food and beautiful monuments. |
Chaque année, il y a la Fête des Lumières à Lyon. |
“The Festival of Lights is held every year in Lyon.” |
"I have never been, unfortunately." Je n'y suis jamais allé, malheureusement. |
4. Toulouse “Toulouse” |
Toulouse is in south-western France and it’s known as the college town. |
Le surnom de Toulouse est "la ville rose". |
I did not know that, je ne sais pas. |
Le surnom de Toulouse est "la ville rose". “Toulouse's nickname is 'the pink city'.” |
That’s a nice name. |
5. Nice “Nice” |
Nice is also in the south, very sunny and with a beautiful seaside. |
Il y a de belles plages à Nice. “there are nice beaches in Nice.” |
Beaches, beaches, beaches. I miss Nice. |
