I learned "Tais-toi" for "Be quiet" back in junior high French class. I used that on my kids when they were little. Also used "Pousse-toi" with them for "Get out of the way."

Ces phrases sont trés utiles à apprendre. Par ce que, généralement, on utilize ces phrase par jour.

I get confused between the phrases:

Qu'est-ce que tu as dit? and Qu'est-ce que je viens de dire?

Is it because of the pronouns used such ti (you) & je (I) that changed the word “fit” to “dire”?
