Voudrais is the conjugated form of the French verb vouloir, which means "to want." |
Voudrais means "I would like," and it's the polite way to ask for something. |
Let's go over how to conjugate vouloir in the conditional tense. |
In the first person singular, you say je voudrais, which means I would like. |
Then, in the second person singular, it's tu voudrais, meaning you would like. |
For the third person singular, you use il voudrait or elle voudrait, for he or she would like. |
Moving on to the first person plural, it becomes nous voudrions, meaning we would like. |
In the second person plural, or when speaking formally to one person, you'd say vous voudriez, meaning you would like. |
Finally, in the third person plural, it's ils voudraient or elles voudraient, which means they would like. |
Let's practice using these forms in sentences during this lesson. |
