Cantonese, but Haitian Creole would be nice. :)
I'm 78 years 'young' and in 2013 I had a stroke which left me disabled, and sadly it robbed me of my memory of the French language; it was as though I was a child again trying to learn French at school. Over the past 6 years I've started to study French again, partly on-line but mostly through French language books and I am beginning to feel more confident with French Grammar but my brain doesn't recall speedily enough to hold a conversation in French.
In one respect I don't 'NEED' to speak French but it is a means of keeping my brain active and a real daily challenge to not only learn but to recall what I've learnt.
I would like to learn Romanian. I think it would couple nicely with French. My wife wants to learn it as well. I’d like to surprise her after learning some Romanian.
Aside from the French language I'm already learning, I am second most interested in learning Hebrew. Learning Hebrew will help me better understand my Biblical studies since the "Old Testiment" (and now evidence points to some of the " New Testiment" as well) was originally written in Hebrew. Hopefully this was helpful!
I would like to learn German.
I worked in Germany many years ago and picked up a small amount of the language. I would love to learn some more and be able to start speaking it over time.
Other languages? I'd like to improve my German, Italian, and Spanish --- along with French --- in order to read foreign news reports.
