Bonjour Martin,

Celui-ci is used to designate things rather close, and celui-la, for things rather distant.

But the meaning is the same.

Why is it 'celui-ci' a couple of times and then 'celui-lร ' all translated as "this one"?

Bonjour Jane !

Oui c'est un mot tres commun et courant dans le vocabulaire francais !

Par exemple : donne moi ce jouet sinon je vais me facher !

Is the word sinon for otherwise commun? Est le mot sinon pour otherwise, commun? Merci
