Bonjour Meka and thank you for your comment !

It's an interesting question !

"En avoir pas mal" is a common expression in French.

"Pas mal" means literally "not bad". But when used in this sentence "j'en ai pas mal" it means "I have a lot".

Yes there is a negation in the sentence and that's why this expression can be tricky.

But you just have to remember that "pas mal" can be translated as "not bad, nice job; quite a bit"

Hello, could you please help.

I find "j'en ai pas mal" difficult to get my head around.

For all intense and purposes, it appears to be a negative statement and yet it means "I have a lot"

Is there a lesson you could refer me to if it is covered or is there a simple explanation.

Thanks, Meka.
