Ah -- I should have read your comment before replying to Carey! I had no idea about this festival, so thank you for your input and precisions! 👍
Bonjour Angèle,
Thank you for your comment! Sciences po is a rather prestigious field to study, so I'm not surprised to hear your brother's teachers went a bit overboard with the pep talk. In French, we say that people like that are "élitistes". Thank you also for giving more info on Grenoble! 😄
Bonjour Park Young Jae,

Bonjour Carey,
Yes, there is a French city named Grenoble! However, I'm not sure the festival you're referring to takes place there. The only film festival I know about that takes place in Grenoble is the Festival du Film Court, which is different from what you're describing.
Sorry I can't be of much help! 😅

My brother was there a year, searching for his destiny... and on a more serious note he actually was studying "sciences po" in short or "sciences politiques" in full.
He didn't like it too much as some professors were doing the "pep talk" saying you are the future of France! and our future politicians!
Apart my brother's life, Grenoble is nice city and located at the foot of the Alps surrounded by many ski stations. It s a lovely city with its old town where you can enjoy trendy cafes and restaurants famous for their Dauphinois cuisine (local area traditional cuisine).

Also in Paris there is the "Festival Gay et Lesbien" in November. So still time for those who want to go. you can also send your short films which can be shown during the festival, if they 're worth it !

Is there a French city named Grenoble? I heard there is an Independent film festival there that shows gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered films.
