Hello Hyunwoo

Wow Nice French! I've watched your spectacular performance! Nice to have leearn about "Poody" or "Poudi". Was it a French poodle? Poody the poodle...:D

As you requested one mistake I heard was " il y a 5 années."
You should have said "il y a 5 ans".

The difference between the 2, is that "année" stressed on the time passing by.

Example:
Année => Je suis resté aux Etats-Unis pendant une année.
I stayed in the US for 1 year.
(the fact that I stayed for 12 months is stressed)

An(s) => Je suis allé aux Etats-Unis il y a 2 ans.
I went to the US 2 years ago.
(here the time going by is not as important, but rather fact that I was in the US in 2006 - knowing that we are in 2008)

If you need further clarification, don't hesitate to send a post!

Angèle

Dear Hyunwoo:

Thank you for posting the video. It was really great to hear French spoken and it made it a little more real for me as part of the French Pod 101 lessons - very inspiring.

Au revoir,

Cavie
