When I was a child, Christmas was such a magical time of year. My parents took me to French department stores to see huge Christmas displays with lights and toys and trains! We had so much fun! Some French friends of mine from Paris told me about a few stores near them where they have managed to capture that old Christmas spirit. I had planned to shop online this year, but maybe I will get out for some Christmas shopping in Paris. I could meet my friends for some hot chocolate at a French café and then go look at French Christmas store displays just like when I was a kid! It’s beginning to look (and feel) a lot like Christmas in France!

Learning French with FrenchPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn French! In this French Audio Blog lesson, we will discuss trends regarding Christmas shopping in France!

All you could think about was shopping, shopping, and shopping! Your husband wanted to go to the normal tourist attractions of course…and so did you. What you really wanted though was to do some serious French shopping and eat some real French food! Being the awesome wife that you are…you do what the husband wants to do first so he will let go of the wallet easier when it is your turn. The next day you tell your husband that you want to go to le grand magasin. You tell him you have heard wonderful things about this French place and thousands of people visit it each year. He is super-excited and ready to go before you are! When you arrive at a huge French department store, he wants to know why you are there. You sheepishly explain that this is where you told him you were going, and you remind him that he said he wanted to go. The moral of the story is that husbands should always learn at least as much French as your wives…if not a little more.

Learning French with FrenchPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn French! In this French Lower Intermediate lesson, you will learn how to say many different types of stores in French, including department store…and bar!

There is nothing better than a great big serving of Southern hospitality! After a hard day of work or a long day of shopping in Paris, wouldn’t it be nice to relax and unwind? Maybe you could sit on a French terrace overlooking a huge field of lavender and sip a warm cup of French coffee with your friends. If you close your eyes and imagine it, I’ll bet you can already smell the French lavender! You could sit there for hours in the cool breeze chatting with your friends in French! If chatting in French on the terrace is not your style, maybe relaxing on a warm French beach is. You could soak up the sun for an afternoon with those same French friends! In fact, you could relax on a terrace and a French beach with your friends in one day if you wanted! Where could you make this relaxing afternoon happen? In charming Southern France, the hardest decision you will have to make is when to return to go home!

Learning French with FrenchPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn French! In this French Audio Blog lesson, we will discuss the charm and hospitality of towns in Southern France, and the many activities you can enjoy while you visit Southern France.

To say that your new French boss is more than a little steamed is an understatement! He slams the quarterly sales report on your desk and asks you in his thick French accent if this is your idea of a joke! You look at him confused and it is only then that he realizes you don’t know! If you could just crawl under your desk you would, but not while everyone in your office is watching! Does he always talk this loud or is it because he is laughing so hard that makes it seem that way? He tells you, in French this time that you speak in French like a pro… but you write in French like a Kindergartner! To this he bursts out laughing loudly again, this time with everyone in the French office behind him! He bellows that you have until morning to correct your mistakes and have the report on his desk! Can you just stay under yours…?

Learning French with FrenchPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn French! In this French Lower Intermediate Lesson you will learn how to climb out from under that desk and write your reports in French! We will teach you those valuable vowel-dropping rules for writing in French like a pro! Then learn a little about the popularity of the French printed press.
