I just watched one of the most exciting French sporting events I have ever seen! It was brutal! There were arms, legs, and feet from French bodies flying in every direction! Before I knew it, French bodies piled high! The excitement building…who would win? Who would lose? Finally, the whistle blew and we would all get the answer we were waiting for. The security guard broke up the fight and dragged the women kicking and screaming from each other. A small but apparently very tough woman climbed out from under the enormous pile of bodies clutching the prize to her chest with a gleam of victory in her eyes! She claimed the autographed rugby calendar, Les Dieux du Stade, and would be the envy of all the moms in her neighborhood now! Wow, what a fight! And to think…tomorrow I am going to see an actual rugby match with Christophe! Maybe they should let these women try out!
