Kids are a rough crowd! I threw a party for my son Phillip last weekend in a park in Paris. The little French boys and girls were so cute…all of them talking in French with their adorable little French accents! However, there was this one little French boy, Nicolas. He was absolutely adorable, but he was a handful! If foreigners only meet him, they will continue to believe the French are rude! He yelled at me in French that he was too full. Then the little French boy stomped his feet and told me in French that the food stinks! I don’t think anybody forced him to eat half a cake! If it were not for the fact that he is seven, a friend of my son’s, and well…I am a sucker for a French accent, I might have gotten very upset! Next year his invitation might get lost in the mail…

Level: Gengo French

Learn French with FrenchPod101.com! Wow! Is that really the wonderful French woman you met on the plane? It can’t be - you’ve just randomly stopped into his little French café to get an espresso. But it is! And since she hasn’t seen you yet, you have to think of something clever to say in French to get her attention. You remember the cheesy French pick-up lines your work colleagues shared with you that they swore work for them all the time in France, but you decide you can’t pull them off. Instead, you choose to lead with a joke and utter the following line in French, “So, are you waiting for someone? I’m here!” Hmm. That sounded a little bit better in your head when you said it to yourself in French, didn’t it. You grimace to yourself until she turns to you, smiles, and says in French, “I am so happy to see you!” Perhaps she’ll even agree to see you again after today!
