Learn French with FrenchPod101.com! “Where is it?” you hiss to yourself in French. You’ve been wandering around this hotel for almost half an hour, looking for the reception. The clerk said in French that the room was on the twenty-third floor, so you followed his directions and took the elevator straight to the twenty-third floor. But no room called in French “The DuPont Room” is in sight. You thought maybe you misunderstood the clerk, since you are still learning how to speak French, so you go to the thirty-second floor just to check things out. “No DuPont Room here either,” you mutter to yourself in French, getting looks from the other French passers-by. After wandering around for an hour, you go back to the lobby and sheepishly ask the concierge in French, “Is there a DuPont Room in this hotel?” The concierge explains in French, “The ground floor doesn’t count as a floor. So you really need to go to the twenty-fourth floor to find the DuPont Room.” Aha! You think to yourself, not only do I need to learn the French language, but I also have to learn how the French count too!
