Learn French with FrenchPod101.com! It’s early in the morning in France, and you and your friend are going for a jog through a forest near your French hotel. You are enjoying the crisp morning air, but apparently something else is on your friend’s mind. She asks you in French, “Did you hear that noise?” You respond in French, “No…I’ve been listening to my iPod. What did you hear?” She tells you in French, “Stop for a minute and listen to that noise. It sounds like footsteps.” As you pause, you do hear a distinct noise that seems to be coming toward you from not too far away. You reassure your friend in French, “It’s probably just an animal.” Your friend says in French, “I’m not sure that’s something we should hope for…what kinds of animals are there in the French forest?” You reply in French, “I have no idea, but they are better than the alternative…this could be a haunted forest!” Your friend looks at you with wide eyes and asks in French, “Do haunted forests exist in France?”
