You have just had your first little argument with anybody since you moved to France! Do you have any idea how hard it is to argue in French? It was really quite silly too. You told your friend that you thought cats were better than dogs in French…she of course thinks dogs are better. Well, that may have been what upset your French-speaking friend, but that’s not what she started yelling at you about! Her pet peeve is people who misuse the French comparatives, mieux and meilleur! She’s just upset because she knows your French Chartreux can beat up her French poodle!

Learning French with FrenchPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn French! This French Lower Intermediate lesson will build upon Lower Intermediate lesson #7 in which you learned the difference between French comparative forms, bon and bien (good and well respectively). Here you will learn how to say something is “better” in French.
