I’m interested in the distinction made in the “line-by-line transcript” between formal and informal self presentation. You state that “Je suis…” is formal and “je m’appelle…” is informal. I did not know that! So, all this time I should have been introducing myself with “Je suis Catherine” to a stranger rather than “Je m’appelle Catherine”???? Also, unfortunately, the audio track for “Je suis luxembourgeois” is broken and says “Je suis american.” I was dying to listening to the pronunciation of luxembourgeois!!!!!!!!!!!

Learning these simple things is the reason that I decided to start at the beginning even though I consider myself intermediate to advanced. Very cool!
