Learn French with FrenchPod101.com! You’re sitting at the bar in a French restaurant by yourself, just waiting for your friends to arrive. Your French friends seem to have no sense of time, so you order yourself a club soda while you wait. A few minutes later, someone taps your shoulder and asks in French, “Excuse me, is the seat next to you taken?” Thinking nothing of it, you respond in French, “No, please sit down.” Suddenly, the person who just sat down starts to strike up a conversation with you in French. You respond politely in French, but when the person asks to buy you a drink, you start to feel uncomfortable. Your new friend asks in French, “You shouldn’t be drinking by yourself. Can I get you another round? You respond in French, “I’m just drinking club soda. I’m fine.” Your acquaintance then asks in French, “Well, how about a glass of wine then? Do you like wine?” You respond in French, “No, I don’t like wine. I’m fine, thanks.” Your buddy just won’t take “no” for an answer and persists in French, parading through every liquor behind the bar as you repeatedly say you don’t like each one in French. Finally, your exasperated companion says in French, “What can I buy you to drink that you WOULD like?” You wonder how to answer this question in French…why can’t some people take a hint?

Which drink do you absolutely dislike? I don’t like whiskey at all.
Thursday at 2:49 am
J’aime a besoir l’eau. (I like drinking water?)
How would you say, “Nothing beats water” ?
Thursday at 4:29 am
Hey London Paris!
Tu aimes boire de l’eau? That’s true, nothing beats water, rien de meilleur que l’eau!
Don’t you drink a glass of wine here and there? Moi je bois du vin régulièrement….I drink wine regularly…
Later!

The explanation about aimer and aimer bien is definitely very useful! If I say the wrong one, my parents might be angry!:D
Friday at 1:32 am
Well excellent question!
I guess it depends on the relationship you have with your parents!
You could say either one.
Everyone knows that you don t love your parents as your partner, boyfriend, girlfriend or husband or wife.
So If you have a very close relationship with your parents and are commenting on it to a friend you could say J’aime / J’adore mes parents.
If you are talking about them and just feel they are good parents without more excitement then you’d say Jaime bien mes parents.
I hope I answered your question!
Alors tu aimes ou tu aimes bien tes parents ?
(for me it depends on the moment!)
Moi ça dépend du moment!

“J’aime mes parents”
:x
Friday at 4:14 am
Oui heureusement !
Saturday at 9:57 pm
Sunday at 2:34 am
Sunday at 3:12 am
Wednesday at 2:48 am
Thursday at 12:38 am
Ahh !
Not everything in Holland is flat”). C’était très amusant !
Friday at 3:49 am
Bonjour,
Que veux-tu dire avec:
Mais, il n’importe pas.
Peu importe. Whatever.
Ce n’est pas grave. It doesn’t matter?
Friday at 10:42 am
Ahh, j’ai dû dire : “Cela n’importe pas”. Mais, peut-être, celui-ci est le français de 19 siècle.
“Rogolo” - ça veut dire “très drôle” ?
Tuesday at 5:32 am
Rigolo c’est le synonyme de drôle.
Bonne déduction !
Tuesday at 5:33 am
Qu’est ce que tu trouves rigolo ?
les films de comédie, mais lesquels ?
Tuesday at 10:35 pm
