What’s more important than knowing how to say the word “sale” in French? Well, if you are like me you are forced to keep a budget while you shop in Paris!! Therefore, you really need to know how to ask how much something costs in French! You definitely need to know your French numbers, and how to recognize a sale in French! You can learn all of that in French Newbie Lesson 21! However, receiving 25% off of 1,000 Euros isn’t going to make my husband happy at all! You need to learn how to ask how much something costs in French before you end up broke, homeless, or in a French divorce court! Do French divorce courts split everything spouses own in half? I guess that’s for another lesson…
Learning French with FrenchPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn French! This French Newbie lesson will teach you how to use your French language skills to ask how much something costs in French. Secondly, you will learn how to ask “how many” or “how much” in French. Finally, we will talk about the métropolitain subway in France.

Do you commute? Is there a subway where you live? How is it?
Bonjour à tous,
Ici à Atlanta, on n’a que le MARTA– un train terrible qui bouge tellement lentement… Le Métro de Paris me manque bcp!
These lessons are really getting better and better – it’s clear that you guys are getting more comfortable at doing this…
I’m sure you guys have a ton on your plate, but any chance of an upper intermediate lesson anytime soon?
Keep up the good work!
-Chase
Bonjour Chase !
Oui intermediate lessons are coming soon. N’est-ce pas belle Angele ?
Merci de nous écouter !
The word “soon” is relative (or maybe subjective): it means different things to different people. To some people “soon” might mean 3 weeks. To others it might mean 3 months. I heard pictures of the Frenchpod101 staff were coming soon. Christmas is coming soon. I hope to see here Upper Intermediate Lessons and see pictures of all of the Frenchpod101 staff by Christmas. That would be a nice Christmas present to all of us regulars who participate at the site.
Oui Céline, for sure in 2009 intermediate lessons are going to be published. We’ll make sure to let you know in a News feed!
Hi Careyxxx
I understand your feeling! I’ve been pushing my dear fellow colleagues to send their mug shots - Céline, Sylvain, Alex please share your beauty with our listeners!
Bonjour Careyxxx, your comment made me laugh a lot ! j’ai éclaté de rire parce que oui tu as raison. tout est relatif.
Well I think that I will have to put a picture of me. Oui Angele. Time has come !
For Christmas ? I’m not sure that will be a nice present though…
