Your French roommate is determined to fix you up with a hot French guy! You have been out all day scouting the area for potential victims. Finally, after a long day of shopping and flirting in Paris, you sit down in the park. Suddenly, a tall, handsome French man walks past you. He has been playing with his dog in the park and he is sweaty and a little stinky. He seems to be carrying a large case in his hand too…hmm. His hair is all ruffled from playing, and he looks very strong. What’s that? Oh, your French friend seems to have been talking to you for several minutes…oh never mind her. The French man sits down under a tree with his dog and opens the case. You turn to your friend; she looks back at you. Yes, it’s a guitar…and he doesn’t wear spandex! You just have one question now. How do you say, “he is hot!” in French?

Learning French with FrenchPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn French! Hello h b

Unfortunately :???: , we have a technical issue with the file. We are working on it!

Ahhh after “arachnophobia” and “fly”, we are again invaded by the insects. This time by bugs on the website!

My favourite line is Silvain’s “Elle est une bomb thermonuclaire!!!”

I’m going to try that one. Sounds so lame in English (”She’s a thermonuclear bomb”), but so cool in French!

How bizarre! I come accross the same thing.
Some phrases sound more cool in some language than others!
Does anyone have other illustrations?

Celine says:

Elle envoie le bois
Elle arrache la pelouse
Elle fracasse

Hahahah. this is slang of course. use with friends

“Elle est tellement belle qu’elle n’en peut plus” - what would be the translation for this ?

Oui! Mon meilleur ami a aimé un de mes frères. Il est beaucoup plus âgé qu’elle, ainsi rien ne s’est produit.

qu’est-ce que signifient les phrases que Celine a écrit?

Angele says:

Elle envoie le bois (literally She sends the wood.)
Elle arrache la pelouse (literrally She rips out the lawn)
Elle fracasse (literrally She wracks everybody)

Ces phrases veulent dire que la fille est une bombe sexuelle! Elle est belle comme un top modèle !

Elle est tellement belle qu’elle fracasse ou elle arrache la pelouse ou elle envoie le bois.
