Quel est la différance entre “Mais Oui” et “Bien Sûr”?
Saturday at 3:35 am
Dans le PDF, on vient d’apprendre les mots «absolument» et »certainement». Comment utilise-t-on ces mots dans le negative avec «pas» et dans quelles situations?
Can you make an example in French ( a situation) where we would answer “Absolutely not” or “Certainly not”?
Saturday at 4:10 am
Here are some examples:
Sam: Bouks, peux-tu me donner 1000 Euros?
Bouks: Absolument pas.
Celine: Bouks, pourquoi tu ne lui donnes pas 1000 Euros? Il ne le mérite pas?
Bouks: Certainement pas.
(Sam: don’t take it personally
)

By the way, I love the lesson photo
Let me guess…it’s Sam (left) and Sylvain (right)? Allez, dites-moi! That photo should be on the FrenchPod101.com front page

Ooohh I see a lot of questions today!
Bouks, great example!
For the first enquiry about “Mais oui!” and “Bien sur” both are used the same way to confirm an information.
Ex:
- Tu vas au cinéma ce soir?
- Mais oui! Je te l’ai déjà dit.
Depending on the intonation, you could use it also to express your frustration! (ohhh tu me le demande encore! Mais oui, je vais au cinéma ce soir!)
Remember “Mais si” can be used to insist after a negative statement.
Ex:
- Je suis fatigué. Je ne veux pas sortir.
- Mais si. Allez! Viens avec moi!

Concerning the picture of this lesson, I will let Sam, Sylvain or Celine answer you!

How do you say “He doesn’t like having his picture taken” in French?
Will Angele and Alex have their photos put up on the site, too? I can find only 1 page on the site with pictures of the Frenchpod101 team, but it is incomplete. Some people are missing pictures, and some people are missing pictures and biographies.
