What’s your favourite French language comic strip? You’ve never read a comic in French? Ok, let me rephrase. What translation of a French comic did you read as a child? You’ve never even read a translation of a French comic? Are you sure? You’ve never even heard of a French language comic strip? Really? What about the story of the Belgian reporter Tintin, and his adventures around the globe? And how about Asterix the Gaul? Gaul was the Roman name for France, didn’t you know?
