Little babies are so cute-especially when they first learn to talk! They want to know what everything is! So curious…they want to know, “what is that?” only about one-hundred times a day! It’s enough to drive a parent insane! Well, welcome to the French asylum. Walk with me for a minute down the padded walls while I explain to you why you are here. Over here to your left in room one, you were sitting with your family in a lovely French restaurant. The French waiter brought you something squiggly on a plate and you asked the waiter in French, “what is that?” Further, down the hall in room three, you were walking through the Louvre when your children began spouting multiple, “what is that’s?” in French from every direction. Your favorite being when you daughter happened upon a nude statue…! And at the end of the hall in room forty-eight, you will find your spouse still asking repeatedly, “what is that?” in French when he received the credit card bill in the mail after your shopping trip in Paris. So, you can see, as crazy as it makes you, how will you learn if you cannot ask, “what is that” in French?
